The Main house has the shape of on an U and the Annex wing takes on an I shaped form. The Vertical element is used for the Annex wing, where the owners son resides. Open timber lattice screens reach up and bend to the back to form a vertical L shape. The screen allows breeze and sun to enter into the living space. The horizontal element is seen on the Main house. A stone wall projects beyond a backdrop of a cast concrete wall and turns around the curve to form another L shape, emulating the mother, a more private person. The house is designed for two generations that keep a separate lifestyle in a modern Asian context.
