Columbus School and College presently caters for children with profound multiple learning difficulties and/or autistic spectrum disorders. Solutions were created which allow the SEN students to play an integrated role in society throughout their lives at the school, college and beyond. The wings focus around the jungle off the main entrance/foyer area. The school site benefits from an intimate and rich landscape setting, this has been developed at the heart of the designs. An eco-trail starts in the school building at the eco-zone and winds through the grounds using existing landscape features and new settings for education and recreation.
