The Norwegian National Architecture Museum, completed in 2008, was Sverre Fehn's last project. He converted the former headquarters of the Central Bank, built in 1830 in Empire style by Christian Heinrich Grosch, and added a pavilion extension. Sverre Fehn used his characteristic, and restrained, palette of materials throughout: oak, glass, marble and shuttered in-situ concrete.
