Born in Bilbao, Inigo graduated in Social Sciences and Journalism at the University of the Basque Country before working as a photojournalist for several years.
In 1995 he moved to London where he obtained an MA in Photography at Goldsmiths College where he also lectured for several years afterwards. Inigo has been an architectural photographer since 1997, working for architects and designers whilst also contributing to several magazines, newspapers and publishing companies such as Icon Magazine, Mark Architecture, Domus, Diseno Interior, On Diseno and Laurence King.
Since 2003, he has been based in Barcelona.
Architecture as a visual art form is what interests him photographically, architecture as a text susceptible of being interpreted in many different ways. He is constantly trying to emphasize a personal style in addressing architecture, depicting the way contemporary buildings are making an impact in the re-shaping of the urban space.
A selection of his urban landscapes were selected by Richard Burdett, professor of Architecture and Urbanism at the LSE to be exhibited at the 10th Venice Architecture Biennale 2006.
Inigo works in Spain, Portugal and Latin America as well in as the UK, and is available to undertake commissions to photograph architecture, urban and industrial projects around the world.
