Norfolk, Va. (September 1, 2022) LCDR Carnell Aurelio, assigned to Navy Expeditionary Combat Command, is promoted to Commander during a ceremony aboard the decommissioned Iowa-Class Battleship USS Wisconsin (BB 64). The ceremony occurred in front of the Battleships iconic turret No. 1 and was attended by members of his family and command. The ceremony was hosted and coordinated by the Hampton Roads Naval Museum, one of ten U.S. Navy museums within the Naval History and Heritage Command. The museum offers military ceremonies for area commands without cost as part of their military outreach offerings.

NAVAL BASE GUAM (Sept. 1, 2021) - Lt. Cmdr. Brian Matic relieved Cmdr. Constancia Dean as commanding officer of Navy Reserve Center (NRC) Guam during a change of command ceremony held at the U.S. Naval Base Guam Chapel. Formerly known as Navy Operational Support Center (NOSC) Guam, NRC Guam provides administrative, logistical, and medical support to nine Navy Reserve units, comprised of over 230 Navy Reservists residing and drilling in eight different countries and Guam.

BOSTON (April 14, 2022) Gunner's Mate 3rd Class Sarah Frank bids farewell to the officers and crew of Constitution after completing her tour aboard. USS Constitution, is the worlds oldest commissioned warship afloat, and played a crucial role in the Barbary Wars and the War of 1812, actively defending sea lanes from 1797 to 1855. During normal operations, the active-duty Sailors stationed aboard USS Constitution provide free tours and offer public visitation to more than 600,000 people a year as they support the ships mission of promoting the Navys history and maritime heritage and raising awareness of the importance of a sustained naval presence. USS Constitution was undefeated in battle and destroyed or captured 33 opponents. The ship earned the nickname of Old Ironsides during the war of 1812 when British cannonballs were seen bouncing off the ships wooden hull.
