War-damaged Tianjin (Tientsin), China in July 1900 during the Box Rebellion. It's foreign quarter was besieged by the Boxers in June. On July 13-14, the eight nation allied force of 20,000 troops, took over Tianjin, as the first obstacle on their way the Beijing. Aggressive looting and massacre was committed by the Japanese and Russian soldiers, but soldiers of all nation took part (BSLOC_2017_20_26)
