Young people like Barbara Tremaine (Gloria Gordon) are thrilled by Peter's enthusiasm and progressive ideas. But bulwarks of the church like black-clad Miss Fowler (Marjorie Rambeau) fear that the Scottish immigrant will destroy traditions.They marry and Peter is appointed minister of a famous church in Washington. His enthusiasm and progressive ideas thrill the young parishioners but shock those bound by tradition. May 20, 1955.
