Fake Jewels Into Christmas Glitter. Sandy Bennett, wife of singer Tony Bennett, shows how she makes her own Christmas-tree ornaments out of bits of glitter, pins and Styrofoam from the florist (below) : Shape the white Styrofoam into balls. Then, with straight pins, stick pieces of junk jewelry (sequins, pearls, beads, broken earrings) into the balls. A pipe cleaner pinned to one end makes it ready to hang on the tree.Decorate an outdoor Christmas tree with strips of fluorescent tape. They'll glow whenever automobile headlights shine on them.
