Gulfport, MS, June 3, 2015 - Interior of the historic Carnegie Library, currently home of the Gulfport Galleria of Fine Art in Gulfport, Mississippi. Built in 1916, the Carnegie Library served the needs of Harrison County for many years before the library was closed and moved to a new facility. The historic Carnegie Library building was damaged by Hurricane Katrina in 2005. The 1916 neoclassical revival building has been restored with assistance from the Mississippi Department of Archives and History and with Public Assistance from FEMA.
