Last week, the Fort Stewart garrison command teamCol. Manny Ramirez and Steven Hoodvisited the installation fire department for burn training. The garrison commander and deputy garrison commander were suited up in turnout gear, put on breathing apparatus, learned how to use the hose, and entered the burn training facility to fight a fire. After the burn training, both had a deeper appreciation for what the Fort Stewart-Hunter Army Airfield Fire Emergency Services firefighters do to keep our installation safe.

YOKOSUKA, Japan (Oct. 8, 2022) Members of Commander, Navy Region Japan Fire and Emergency Services (CNRJ F&ES) conduct a demonstration of their firefighting capabilities during the annual Ikego Fire Prevention Parade & Open House, hosted by CNRJ F&ES). This commemoration occurred during Maryland Fleet Week and Flyover Baltimore. Maryland Fleet Week and Flyover is Baltimores celebration of the sea services and provides an opportunity for the citizens of Maryland and the city of Baltimore to meet Sailors, Marines and Coast Guardsmen, as well as see firsthand the latest capabilities of todays maritime services.

YOKOSUKA, Japan (Oct. 8, 2022) Members of Commander, Navy Region Japan Fire and Emergency Services (CNRJ F&ES) conduct a demonstration of their firefighting capabilities during the annual Ikego Fire Prevention Parade & Open House, hosted by CNRJ F&ES). The event was held to educate service members and their families about fire safety. For more than 75 years, CFAY has provided, maintained, and operated base facilities and services in support of the U.S. 7th Fleet's forward-deployed naval forces, tenant commands, and thousands of military and civilian personnel and their families.

Ramage is underway as part of the Gerald R. Ford Carrier Strike Group conducting Surface Warfare Advanced Tactical Training (SWATT) exercises to increase lethality, ensure combat readiness, and promote tactical innovation. SWATT is led by the Naval Surface and Mine Warfighting Development Center whose mission is to increase the tactical proficiency and lethality of the surface force.

The 378th Expeditionary Civil Engineer Squadron Fire and Emergency Services Flight hosted a firefighter challenge for Airmen, Soldiers and personnel assigned to Prince Sultan Air Base, Oct. 15, 2022.The challenge tested the participants physical strength and endurance with simulated tasks that are common to fire scenes. NAVAL STATION NORFOLK (June 08, 2022) Firefighters and emergency responders assigned to Naval Station Norfolk worked alongside with Hampton Roads area fire departments, US Coast Guard members and NAVSTA Norfolk Port Operations members to extinguish a fire aboard the Spirit of Norfolk at NAVSTA Norfolk's Pier 4, June 08, 2022. The Spirit of Norfolk experienced a shipboard fire and, after safely transferring 106 passengers to another vessel, was towed to Naval Station Norfolk's Pier 4 where various entities spent 3 days extinguishing and dewatering the vessel.
