Illustration showing the scene on a British road in the winter, circa 1899. In the foreground cyclists, two on a tandem, can be seen. Behind them, a typical motor car of the period, with it's passengers wrapped up against the cold. In the background can be seen a motor driven van and a bicycle, with four riders. The original caption for this image, which was published in the Christmas Number, was a two verse poem entitled: 'Who Wants a motor-car'. Date: 1899

School buses brought integration to Charlotte's inner city schools, ordered by a Federal judge in the early 1960's. The project worked and all of the city's schools were peacefully integrated.

Sunday Drivers, Classic Photography

New York, New York: c. 1929 Part of the Thanksgiving Day Parade that officially brings Santa Claus into the Metropolis. The Fish Balloon is 35 feet long, while the Tiger Balloon is 60 feet long, and will be released as the parade nears its end on Broadway. They are filled with helium and will drift for a week, with a $100 prize awarded for each one recovered.
