Entrance to the Port of Boulogne. Artist: Édouard Baldus (French, born Prussia, 1813-1889). Dimensions: 28.8 x 43.5 cm (11 5/16 x 17 1/8 in.). Date: 1855.Boulogne-sur-Mer, the terminus of the railroad line from Paris, was the gateway for trade and travel between Victorian England and Second Empire France. It was also the arrival point for Queen Victoria's state visit in 1855, and this exceptionally rich, subtle print comes from an album commissioned by Baron James de Rothschild, owner of the line, for presentation to the imperial court on that occasion. Baldus's photograph, showing the elegantly engineered jetties that guided vessels from the English Channel past the scruffy shoreline and into the protected harbor alongside the Boulogne station, masterfully renders the soft light and atmosphere pursued by Impressionist painters a decade later. Gbö I, quay seats 208-227 Gullberg quay with quay at the city's gas plant. In the background you can see the Gas Block. Gothenburg's eastern II industrial track at Marieholm, Lärje Oljehamn and tracks to the Slaughterhouse. At Gbö in there was a so -called Pråmhamn.

Accident at Nakerijokk September 24, 1900. One of the building locomotives, "Dufvan", has derailed in the collapse along the embankment. The auxiliary train is drawn by a tank locomotive from former Sweden & Norway Railway, S&N. Damaged steam locomotive is SJ P 315, Dufvan. The locomotive was manufactured by Nohab in 1883 under the original Littera SJ PB 315. It was noticed in 1886 to Littera SJ P 315. The locomotive was scrapped in 1911.

The Baghdad Railway (German: 'Bagdadbahn'), built from 1903 to 1940, was planned to connect Berlin with the (then) Ottoman Empire city of Baghdad with a 990 mile line through modern-day Turkey, Syria and Iraq. Photo collection Service for army contacts Indonesia. DLC Railroad accident Poerwakarta. Saturday evening, August 21, 1948 at around 10.20 pm, a freight train has been placed by sabotage of a gang in the vicinity of the railway bridge of meaning on the route between Bandoeng and Poerwakarta. The two locomotives, a passenger car and a boiler truck collapsed in a variety of ravine. Five people were killed and seven injured, including the operator and two stokers. The accident that happened about five kilometers for Poerwakarta is due to the fact that the rails had broken up over a great distance. Passengers of the trains later had to switch to the strampling point and go on foot across the bridge. On the photo it is clear that the accident happened close to the bridge, which itself was damaged. August 22, 1948. Indonesia, Java, Dutch East Indies
