The State Railways, SJ Z61 361. Lokomotor Z 61. In the mid-1950s, SJ bought three new two-axle locomotives to renew Lokparken. Lokomotors got Littera Z61, Z62 and Z63. The locomotive Z61 was manufactured by Kockums and had about the same construction as the other two. The locomotive Z61 differed in appearance from Z62 and Z63.

The State Railways, SJ YOA1 31. Electric sample motor carriage was developed by ASEA and ASJ. This sample engine was inserted in regular traffic in a number of places in Sweden, including in Boden and Västerås-Enköpings area. The samples fell to SJ full satisfaction and decisions were made to convert 30 diesel engine cars to electric motor cars.
