Abruzzo L'Aquila Fossa Convent of S. Angelo d'Ocre7. Hutzel, Max 1960-1990 The convent was built in 1242 for the Benedictines and enlarged in the 15th century by the Franciscans. Prints include exterior or general views of convent and surrounding countryside, interior hallways showing vaulting, portal frames and lunettes decorated with frescoes, courtyard and frescoed ceiling. Other fresco decoration includes 'The Last Supper'. Five more photos are being put with this monument which are identified by Hutzel as being the Convento di S. Angelo d'Ocre. They show a modest exterior and an interior in the late Renaissance or early Baroque style. German-born photographer and scholar Max Hutzel (1911-1988) photographed in Italy from the early 1960s until his death. The result of this project, referred to by Hutzel as Foto Arte Minore, is thorough documentation of art historical development in Italy up to the 18th century, including objects of the Etruscans and the Romans, as well as early Medi

The sculptor shows the tympano of Egmond to Countess Petronella, ca. 1120, 1910 print The sculptor of the tympanum for the Egmond abbey: Boogtrommel with Petrus, Count Dirk VI van Holland and his mother Countess Petronella, receives Countess Petronella with son Dirk VI and her entourage in his studio in the Egmond abbey. The newly completed relief stands on a donkey, with two seats in front. On the right, monks watch Petronella (originally Geertruida) of Saxony was the wife of Floris II, Count of Holland.
