Colonel Charles Sweeney -- Group Captain Charles Sweeney is the Honorary Commanding Officer of the Royal Air Force (Eagle) Fighter Squadron Which has all American volunteer pilots. Born in San Francisco, California, he achieved fame fighting for France in the Foreign Legion in the war of 1914-1918. Wilhelm Kunde (b. 1904). SS-Hauptstumführer, Schutzstaffel (SS) officer in the German Reich Captain's Group. Kriminal-Sekretär in the criminal police department (Kripo), in Gestapo Sub-Section IV B-1 in the Kraków District. He was the spokesman for the SS and Gestapo on Jewish affairs. Kunde participated in the liquidation of the Kraków ghetto on 13 and 14 March 1943. In 1944, Kunde moved to Bremen, his hometown in northern Germany. After the war, in the 1970s, he was tried in West Germany. Kunde died of stomach cancer before the trial was over. Portrait.

Reserve Sergeant-Kite KL / Coat of Arms of Military Aviation, L. (Leendert) Laamens, born on 13-4-1919 in Leidschendam. Sergeant-student-flyer lanaens, st.bk.no. 21070 originally belonged to a group from the KL / ML flight schools in Souburg / Haamstede. They were seconded to the KM on 1-9-1940 for the duration of the war. Their first flight training was then continued at the MLD flight school on Morokrembangan / Surabaya. The continuing training on tweotive aircraft from this contingent ML staff then took place at De Raf in England. On 22-12-1941, the GMB was awarded, followed by immediate promotion to reserve Sergeant kite.

During operation Market Garden classified by the 101st US Airborne Division and landed by Glider in the Son area (North Brabant) and involved in combat operations. During the Operation Infatuate landed in November 1944 at Vlissingen. After the war at the Bloemenendaal Stormschool promoted to officer. In 1947 with honorable dismissal.

Iron Cross For Woman Who Flew In Flying Bomb -- Mrs. Reisch.Borling announces that Mrs. Anna Reisch, "a biological phemomenon", has been awarded the Iron Cross, 1st Class, for flying in a V-I plane and solving problems which tests failed to cure. According to the Gormans Mrs. Roisch, who is insonsible to pressure, flew in almost horizontal position, gazing through a periscopo. There were no instruments, and only an emergency landing device. After four days the trouble was found and remedied. Mrs. Reisch was seriously injured. July 27, 1944.

Vadm E. Roest (born 1921) was Adj. I.B.D. from H.M. de Koningin.

The was born in Tay Ninh Province and raised in the Cao Dai religion. He was trained in military officer school by the Japanese Kempeitai when Japan began using Cao Dai paramilitary troops. By 1945 he was an officer in the Cao Dai militia. In June 1951, The broke from the Cao Dai hierarchy and took about two thousand troops with him to form his own militia, the Lien Minh, devoted to combating both the French and the Viet Minh. The's forces were implicated in a series of terrorist bombings in Saigon from 1951 to 1953 which were blamed on communists at the time. In 1954, United States military advisor Edward Lansdale, charged with propping up the regime of Ngo Dunh Diem, negotiated with The to use his militia to back up Diem and the ARVN. On February 13, 1955, The's troops were officially integrated into the South Vietnamese army, where he assumed the rank of general. He led the Lien Minh on a triumphal march into Saigon.
