Strikers and Police Battle in Paris -- Police with batons drawn seen chasing aircraft strikers in the centre of Paris today, September 15.Strikers, estimated at 2,500 strong, clashed with police in Paris today, September 15, when they marched on the headquarters of the National Aviation Industry in Boulevarde Hausman, near the Paris Opera. Police said that demonstrators rushed the police lines when company executives refused to see demonstration followed the strikers. The demonstration followed the striking this morning of 13,000 employees of the National Aviation Industry plant at Argenteuil, and was made to protest against the standing-off of 1,700 employees following a recent Government order to reduce Governmental payrolls.
