The Camp Darby Morale Welfare and Recreation (MWR) led inaugural Commander's Cup Series of sporting events kicking off with a 4x50 Free Style Relay swim meet hosted by the Livorno Naval Academy. The Camp Darby team obtained a well-deserved fourth place. Commander's cup is a competition between U.S. Team and Italian military forces such as Italia Naval Academy, Carabinieri, Folgore, Finance Police, Fire Departments, Italian Airborne in the provinces of Pisa and Livorno aimed to enhance the esprit de corps and to familiarize with the different military units.

U.S. Army Maj. The Adaptive Sports Camp celebrates wounded, ill, and injured Soldiers' ability to recover and overcome. The Army holds qualifying trials for Active Duty, wounded, ill or injured Soldiers to assess and select athletes for competition in the DoD Warrior Games Challenge. This year, the DoD Warrior Games Challenge takes place in June 2023 at Naval Air Station North Island in San Diego, California.

JOINT BASE PEARL HARBOR-HICKAM (February 6, 2023) Navy Wounded Warrior hosts an adaptive sports intro camp at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, February 6 - 10. Athletes are trying their hand at archery, cycling, indoor rowing, shooting, sitting volleyball, swimming, and track. Sports Camps are a week-long opportunity to try multiple adaptive sports. All Sailors and Coast Guardsmen enrolled in Navy Wounded Warrior are encouraged to participate, regardless of a sports background. Attendees have an opportunity to meet and build connections with other service members who are also going through transitional, healing, and recovery journeys. Participants are encouraged to try as many sports as possible.
