The 1st Cavalry Division celebrated its 101st birthday with friendly competitions and ceremonies to build camaraderie Sept. 12-16 at Fort Hood, Texas. While in Las Vegas for Super Bowl LVIII the Joint Armed Forces Color Guard and drummers from The U.S. Navy Band visited with over 200 JROTC students from Sierra Vista High School and Bonanza High School. The color guard shared their experiences in the military and why they continue to choose to serve. Students also had the chance to ask the service members questions and get some tips and tricks about presenting the colors.
