UN Establishes Medal For Personnel Service In Korea -- UN 34423 Front and rear view of the United Nations Medal which has been established for personnel serving with the UN Land, Sea and Air Forces in Korea. Regulations governing the eligibility for this UN award are at present under consideration by the Secretary-General and the Unified Command.The word Korea, will appear on the metal band, directly above the United Nations Emblem side of the medal, the ribbon is blue and white. First World War (1914-1918). Russian army uniform cap with a home guard cockade. Men fit for service were conscripted into the Russian army at the beginning of the mobilisation in the summer of 1914. The conscripted home guards were organized into companies and battalions separately from other units. Testimonial to Brigadier-General Nelson from the Jamaica House of Assembly, 1868. 'Immediately after the suppression of the negro insurrection in the Morant Bay district of Jamaica, in 1865, the House of Assembly voted a grant of 200 guineas for a testimonial to be presented to Brigadier-General Abercromby Nelson, the commander of the troops, for his services in that unhappy affair.
