Colonel Billy Mitchell at his 1925 court-marshal with his attorney, Rep. Frank R. Reid (standing). He publically criticized the Army Air Force for 'stupidity' after the loss of 3 naval planes flying to Hawaii and the crash of the Navy airship USS Shenandoah. Mitchel resigned after the court sentenced him with reduction in rank, and no pay for five years (BSLOC_2018_2_19)
