Norfolk (September 19, 2022) Chief Petty Officer selectees from various commands in the Hampton Roads, Virginia region participate in history and heritage facilitated by Museum Educator Zach Smyers of the Hampton Roads Naval Museum. The presentation centered around the U.S. Navys involvement in the Vietnam War, and occurred in the museums exhibit “The Ten Thousand-Day War at Sea: The U.S. Navy in Vietnam, 1950-1975.” The presentation was part of the museums 21st Annual Chief Petty Officer Heritage Days event. The three-day event allows CPO selectees to receive history and heritage training at the museum and aboard the Battleship Wisconsin, and is hosted by the museum and area commands. Soldiers from Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 12th Combat Aviation Brigade, begin an audio-guided tour at the Bastogne War Museum in Bastogne, Belgium, June 11, 2022. The Bastogne War Museum offers visitors the context, causes, events, and consequences of World War II through the voices of four fictional characters: a German lieutenant, an American soldier, a young teacher from the Communal school of Bastogne, and Emile Mostade, a 13-year-old boy. 12 CAB is among other units assigned to V Corps, America's Forward Deployed Corps in Europe. They work alongside NATO Allies and regional security partners to provide combat-ready forces, execute joint and multinational training exercises, and retain command and control for all rotational and assigned units in the European Theater.

Operation Junior Expeditionary Team (OpJET), June 17, 2022, Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, Texas. OpJET provides children the opportunity to see a mock deployment and gives them an idea what their parent experiences when they report for duty away from home, as well as the process when they return.

Over twenty-five students from Hirschi High School out of Wichita Falls, TX came to Fort Sill, Oklahoma to visit the Training Support Facility (TSF). A wooden crate more than a century old is shown Aug. 26 , 2022, at the Fort McCoy History Center in the historic Commemorative Area at Fort McCoy, Wis. The crate was donated to Fort McCoy by Alan McCoy of Sparta, Wis., who is the grandson of Maj. Gen. Robert Bruce McCoy for whom Fort McCoy is named after. The crate, which once carried lard buckets, traces back to the time of Camp Emery Upton and Camp Robinson in Wisconsin around 1910.
