Norfolk (September 19, 2022) Musician Chief (Select) Patrick Cotter, from Hershey, Pennsylvania, plays the trombone as an accompaniment of a combined group of Chief Petty Officer selectees from Joint Expeditionary Base Little Creek-Fort Story during guidon competition of the 21st Annual Chief Petty Officer Heritage Days event. The three-day event allows CPO selectees to receive history and heritage training at the museum and aboard the Battleship Wisconsin, and is hosted by the museum and area commands. The event is the largest and longest running of its kind in Virginia.

Veterans danced to the music of the Empty Pockets Band during the Welcome Party at the Society of the 1st Infantry Division's 101st annual reunion at the Fort Worth Hilton Hotel, Texas, July 21st, 2022. The reunion allowed brothers and sisters-in-arms who currently or previously served within the 1st Infantry Division to spend time with fellow Veterans while enjoying museum tours, wine tasting, fine dining, and the rich history of Fort Worth. Army societies provide a community for Veterans with similar experiences to gather together to share their stories of dedication and sacrifice.

The Vermont National Guard hosted an open house at the Vermont Air National Guard base, in South Burlington, Vermont, Sep 11, 2022. The event was open to all public and highlighted a slew of careers, equipment, and vehicles utilized by both Air and Army Vermont Guardsmen. The event culminated with a memorial to honor the memory of the events that happened on and since 9/11/2001.
