Spc. A landing support specialist preforms various duties that support the establishment, maintenance and control of transportation and troops while throughput systems on beaches, landing zones, ports (air and sea), and terminals (rails, trucks, containers) used in support of MAGTF operations and deployments. When I was thirteen, I went to the mall with my uncle, which is rare coming from an Amish family, and I saw a poster of the Marines, at the time I spoke to a Staff Sergeant and he told me about his life in the Marines and his MOS. I don’t remember his name, but I remember everything he told me. I knew then I wanted to enlist and go experience life from a different perspective.”

Key leadership from the Idaho National Guard and several other U.S. states joined partner nations on June 30, 2022 in Morocco to see the capabilities of multinational armies working together simultaneously in a combined arms live-fire mission. During the exercise, Marines called in air strikes simultaneously as Idaho's 1st Battalion of the 148th Field Artillery Regiment fired the M795 high explosive rounds from the M109A6 howitzers as ground support with Oregon, Utah and Wisconsin Army National Guards, a Marine Corps Reserve unit based in California and active-duty Soldiers from Fort Hood, Texas, with preparatory and destructive fires and obscuration using M825 white smoke rounds.

The Liberty Jump Team, both Active Duty and retired Military Personnel, and Paratroopers assigned to the 82nd Airborne Division jump into Normandy, France, June 7, 2022. Personnel and Paratroopers all jumped to honor the Paratroopers who jumped into Normandy in 1944.

The Joint Base MDL conducted a Postal Warrior Training Mission on 10 August 2022 which was conducted by the 78th Training Division. This training event was on Fort Dix Site IR3C. Multiple Army Reserve Units from the states of New York, Georgia and California were on-site for this training. The U.S. ASA Fort Dix Commander COL Mitchell Wisniewski, Joint Base Commander COL Wes Adams (AF) and the Army Reserve CSM, CSM Andrew Lombardo were in attendance. They all had observed the training from the ground and also in-flight during the soldiers training. The flights were provided by the 773rd Marine Light Attack Helicopter on a UH1 Cobra Helicopter. Postal Warrior is a task-focused exercise for Postal Units to support Postal Operations in a combat area when needed. During this training Units are being prepared for delivering mail during possible small arms or sniper fire from enemy while carrying out their mission. NAVAL SUPPORT ACTIVITY, Bahrain (June 01, 2022) - Marines assigned to Task Force 51/5th Marine Expeditionary Brigade (TF 51/5) completed the Marine Corps Martial Arts Program (MCMAP) black belt culminating event aboard Naval Support Activity, Bahrain, June 01. The culminating event included various exercise stations and sparring matches where Marines used techniques learned throughout their MCMAP training. TF 51/5 responds to crises and contingencies; coordinates, plans, and executes operations; conducts theater security cooperation; and advances emerging Naval concepts at sea, from the sea, and ashore in order to support U.S. Central Command, 5th Fleet, and Marine Corps Forces Central Command theater objectives.

The worlds largest international maritime exercise, RIMPAC provides a unique training opportunity while fostering and sustaining cooperative relationships among participants critical to ensuring the safety of sea lanes and security on the worlds oceans. An Air National Guard security forces Airman who was one of 50 students in an Air Force led-Cold Weather Operations Course participates in cold-water immersion training Jan. 27, 2023, at Big Sandy Lake on South Post at Fort McCoy, Wis. The activity was part of the 16 days of training for 50 Airmen from multiple Air National Guard security forces units. Besides cold-water immersion, the Airmen also learned about cold-weather shelters, survival techniques, cold-weather uniform wear, and more in the training. Fort McCoy has a long history of supporting cold-weather training. Eighty years prior to this training, in January 1943, the installation hosted winter training for the Army's 76th Division prior to the Division deploying to Europe to fight in the Battle of the Bulge in World War II.
