SANTA RITA, Guam (June 13, 2022) Sailors assigned to the Ticonderoga-class guided-missile cruiser USS Chancellorsville (CG 62) install a mount for a MK-141 Harpoon missile launcher during a weapons onload in support of Valiant Shield 2022. Exercises such as Valiant Shield allows the Indo-Pacific Command Joint Forces the opportunity to integrate forces from all branches of service to conduct precise, lethal, and overwhelming multi-axis, multi-domain effects that demonstrate the strength and versatility of the Joint Force and our commitment to a free and open Indo-Pacific.

The first-in-class aircraft carrier USS Gerald R. Fords (CVN 78) burial detail conducts a burial at sea on the ships aircraft elevator 2, Sept. 17, 2022. During the ceremony, the cremated remains of 30 souls were committed to the sea in the Atlantic Ocean. Ford is underway in the Atlantic Ocean conducting carrier qualications and workups for a scheduled deployment this fall.

Artemis II Orion Underway Recovery Test 10 (URT-10) - Day 6. Members of NASAs Landing and Recovery team and partners from the Department of Defense stand on the flight deck of USS John P. SAN DIEGO (September 2, 2022) - Air Traffic Controller 1st Class Rebecca Thrasher, from Bartow, Florida, assigned to USS Boxer (LHD 4), explains the air warfare capabilities of the amphibious assault ship to Veterans of USS Bristol County (LST 1198) during a tour on board. The Veterans and their families visited Boxer during a reunion commemorating the 50th anniversary of Bristol Countys commissioning. Boxer is a Wasp-class amphibious assault ship homeported in San Diego.

EMC(SW/AW) Michael Prendigue, Jr. re-enlists in a ceremony attended by members of his command and family aboard the decommissioned Iowa Class Battleship USS Wisconsin (BB-64). The ceremony was hosted and coordinated by the Hampton Roads Naval Museum, which is located next to the Battleship Wisconsin in Downtown Norfolk, Virginia. The museum is one of 10 U.S. Navy Museums within the Naval History and Heritage Command.

JOINT BASE PEARL HARBOR-HICKAM (April 23, 2012) Sailors man the rails of the guided-missile destroyer USS Russell (DDG 59) as the ship arrives at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam following completion of an eight-month deployment to the western Pacific and Arabian Gulf. Russell and her crew of nearly 300 Sailors conducted a wide range of operations, including ballistic missile defense, maritime security operations, and oil platform defense. Additionally, the ship and her crew participated in multi-national exercises with NATO allies and Gulf partner nations in support of theater security cooperation and operations.
