Ms. Limburg (D814) was part of the NATO Squadron Matchmaker III from January 15 to March 3, 1967 (Matchmaker was the precursor of the Standing Naval Force Atlantic (StanavForlant) that has existed from 1968). During that period, Matchmaker III also consisted of USS Zellars (DD777), HMS Berwick (F115) and USS McCloy (DE1038). The Netherlands led the command about Matchmaker III from 15 January to 20 August 1967. Commander of the Matchmaker III Squadron (Commatchron) was Captain at sea F. Visee. Commander of the flagship HR. Ms. Limburg was Captain-Lieutenant at sea J. Jansen.
