Fins To Stop That Sea-Sick Feeling -- An innovation designed to do much to prevent sea-sickness - the stabilizing fins on the hull of the P and Q. Liner "Chusan, which is now making a series of cruises before a quick round passage to Bombay in September. The fins, each side of the vessel, are gyroscopically controlled, and are retractable into the hull. July 26, 1950.

Torpedo boat series building T45 launched.March 1957 Malmö shipbuilding historical association has received the album of a son of Nils Holmström.Peter Skanze from the association has in contacts with the Historical Museum's manager Hans-Lennart Ohlsson expressed that the gift is aimed at the Maritime History Museum, while in the donation letter a "desire to the album ends up at any museum with a focus on our marine heritage".At sea-historical, there is already an extensive collection of photographs from Kockum's MV.Since the images show the warships fit the album better in Marine Museum Karlskrona's gathering area and was therefore added to Marine Museum's collections.

Mystery Fire In Queen Elizabeth -- Firemen and dock hands are seen fighting the blaze on board the Queen Elizabeth, today March 8, which broke out in the bedding store of the isolation hospital on the Port side of the promenade deck. A Mystery fire broke out in the world's largest liner - The Queen Elizabeth, in dock at Southampton, today March 8. Police assisted by Cunard White Star officials are probing the mystery of the outbreak, which luckily confined to the isolation hospital.
