Corporal Jack Harris's Pierrot Troupe Description: Prisoners of War interned at Rennbahn in Munster, North Germany, a converted racecourse. Amateur theatricals offered a distraction from gruelling conditions at the camp. The elaborate set here formed part of the "Rennbahn Empire" where prisoners regularly put on shows. Jack Harris served in the Rifle Brigade and was a music hall comedian before the war. After the Xi'an Incident, in order to prevent the Kuomintang's attack, a part of the Red Army went south to Guanzhong, southern Shaanxi and Shangluo to support the Northeast Army and the Seventeenth Route Army, forming a "trinity" situation of the Northeast Army, the Seventeenth Route Army and the Red Army. In January 1937, the generals of the Red Army took a group photo with friendly troops and local people at the headquarters of the 17th Division of the 17th Route Army in Sanyuan County. From the second from the left in the front row: Ren Bishi, Peng Dehua and the 17th division commander Zhao Shoushan.

Small Pal, Battalion Commando, Officer Fair, taken on June 19, 1916.

Training country guard; NSB. Three rows of men are arranged for a building. In front men in overalls, some others in shorts or long pants. On the back given a man in shorts. The men are trained at De Scheleberg in Lunteren for the country guard. Founded in November 1943 as a protection organization for the NSB after a number of attacks on leading Nsbers. Soon the land guard came under control of the Germans and was also used as a help police. De Scheleberg was built in 1936 as a holiday resort for members of the General Association for trade and office servants.
