2000 Scientists Trained At "Atom School" -- Master - This is the headquarters of the Oak Ridge Institute of Nuclear Studies, where foreign scientists will attend classes and conduct research at a special training course. The work of the Institute is supported by 32 American colleges and Universities.A special radioisotope training program for foreign scientists will be conducted during May by the Institute of Nuclear Studies at the Oak Ridge atomic plant in Tennessee. It is one of several projects of the United States Atomic Energy Commission to aid the International "atoms for peace" program. June 29, 1955.

Craftsmen's Fair -- The First Annual Fair of the Greenwich Village Craftsmen was opened here with over seventy village artisans handling the fifty booths. Over 10,000 persons visited the fair on opening day and watched coppersmiths, silversmiths, lamp makers, engravers potters and woodworkers give exhibitions of their work. The fair, to enable professional Village artisans to present their work to the public, will run for three consecutive week-ends on a lot at the Avenue of The Americas between Washington and Waverly Places.
