Photograph of the first railway motor-coach in Britain, June 1903. The London and South-Western Railway were experimenting with motor-coaches for light suburban traffic. This coach was fifty-six feet long, with two compartments - one for 10 first class passengers and the other for 32 third class passengers. Date: 1903

Winter train homes in Storlien. The wagons are the State Railways, SJ S07 1272 Cabinet on the left, S07 1275 Dining cart. Although the wagons were originally the same, the platforms have later become different. Here it is also visible the cable transmission of electricity between the wagons and on the roof looks like any device for coverage of the transition bridge. Some other thing that is visible is that 1275 got the boggies M91 switched to M96 but both wagons have Sliding layer and not roller bearings. Roll bearings and more modern bogies were used on wagons in regular traffic and train homes with lower speeds received the older boggies.TT
