Linen handkerchief with a border bobbin with fine point sculpts, anonymous, c. 1575 - c. 1624 Handkerchief or nose cloth of natural linen, trimmed all around with natural -colored bobbin: Old Flemish side. The repeating pattern consists of a square with a wheel in it, such as with Reticella patterns. Each square is finished with a fine point sculpt with picots. Along the edges of the handkerchief runs a narrow edge of work with pulled threads. The handkerchief is marked in red: C.
