Väring. Väring new station house. Was put into operation 14/10 1948. The State Railways, the Sj. Stationshuset was built and the track was opened in 1859. The station house was built twice in the 1890s. A new station house was built in 1948 and then the old was demolished. At the demolition, a note was found on a roof beam "Johannes Andersson Gullspång, Skaraborg County who wrote that year 1859." Electrification 1926 and double track 1951.

Royal Visit To Norway -- On the 24th June Queen Elizabeth II and the Duke of Edinburgh arrived in Oslo on a 3-day state via it to Norway , This is the Queen a first visit to any country outside the British Commonwealth. The second day of the visit included a garden party at the British Embassy and a Royal Galla Performance at the National Theatre in the evening. In the afternoon the Royal Guests visited the Norwegian Folk Museum the Viking Ships and the Kontiki House.High-light of the Royal sight-seeing on Saturday was the Queen's visit at the Gol Stave Church, a unique 12th century wooden structure from a mountain valley in central Norway, which is the pride of the Norwegian Folk Museum. Here the Queen leaves the Stave Church accompanied by Mr. Reidal Kjeldberg, director of the Folk Musem. July 5, 1955.
