The Dvaravati period lasted from the 6th to the 13th centuries. Dvaravati refers to both a culture and a disparate conglomerate of principalities. By the 10th century, Dvaravati began to come under the influence of the Khmer Empire and central Thailand was ultimately invaded by the Khmer king Suryavarman II in the first half of the 12th century. Haripunchai survived its southern progenitors until the late 13th century AD. when it was incorporated in the Lanna Kingdom. The people of the region used the ancient Mon language, but whether they were ethnically Mon is unknown. There is evidence that these principalities may comprise many cultural groups of people, including Malays and Khmers. The theory of Thai migration into Dvaravati has been refuted and is now known to have happened much later. The term Dvaravati derives from coins which were inscribed in Sanskrit with sri dvaravati. The Sanskrit word dvaravati means 'with many gates'. Its name may derive from the mythical city of Dvaraka

Servatius plates. From gratitude for a cure Duke Heinrich of Bavaria (1386-1450) 1403 of the Servatiuskirche in Maastricht donated a relic coaster. It shows the Holy Servatius, which died 384 as a bishop of Tongren. The eight silver-associated relief plates were originally decorated with the octagonal pedestal of the no longer preserved bust. With great narrative pleasure and realistic accuracy, the reliefs show events from the legend of Saint: 1. The transfer of Mitra and bishopics to servatius as a new bishop of tonguers by an angel; 2. The key collection for the celestial trail by Peter; 3. The conversion of the Hun King Attila with the help of an eagle protecting the sleeping servatius in front of the sun; 4. Moreover, like their human devotees they produce offspring. One of the most significant of these divine children is the son of Shiva, known in southern India as Subrahmaņya but more familiar elsewhere in India as Kārttikeya, Skanda, or Kumāra. He was born to combat demons and to command the heavenly armies, functions he fulfills in the great Hindu religious epics. Thus he is generally regarded as the Hindu god of war. Like the other major deities, Subrahmaņya rides a supernatural animal, or vāhana (literally, "vehicle"), which in his case is the peaock Paravāņi. Young Chief, Cayuse Indian 1891; cast 1906 Olin Levi Warner American "Young Chief, Cayuse Indian" was one of seven portraits of Native Americans that Warner modeled in 1891 while in Oregon. When Poor Crane, chief of the Cayuse died, Young Chief, who was living on the Umatilla reservation became head of the tribe, and held the position until his death in 1901. In contrast to Poor Crane, Seltice, and the other older Native peoples whom Warner depicted, Young Chief represented a younger generation who had adopted a Euro-American lifestyle..
