On the head a Chapeau à l'Androsman (not named as such in the text) it is dressed in a red Berlin Frak that falls over the chest and is closed with a few knots. Byond this a white waistcoat and a "Hungarian" breeches of white Gemsleer. Gloves of white Gemsleer. Chatelaine with one watch. Black riding boots with silver English traces. Riding sweep in hand. The French rider is "misled". As mistakes are mentioned: A too long riding jacket, without any elegance. Vest that ....... On this fashion print from the Mercure de France of February 1726, the contemporary fashion for men is compared to those of 1714. Left 1714: A lackei dressed in a justaucorps and knee pants, with neckerchief and stab. In addition to him a gentleman in Justaucorps, shirt and knee pants, with cavate. On his head an allonge or infoli jar. Right 1726: a Lord dressed in Frak, Justaucorps, Kamizool, Shirt and Knee Pants. With stricted neckerchief and stab. (Ornamental) Dit on the left.
