Merklap from linen on which with liberal silk in cross, cupboard and star stitch, among other things, the spies of Canaan, the Dutch virgin, the coat of arms of Amsterdam, Adam and Eva at the tree of good and evil, Anno 1802, ancient 13 Iaar and three couple Initials. The mace player has made this Lap and BK-16520-B in its twelfth year. The pattern of the interconnected spies from Canaan rarely occurs on Dutch brand stations. The front man turns off from the Druiventros (Christ), the rear turns to him (cf. Merklaap in the Centraal Museum, Utrecht). The crowned Dutch virgin with the freedom hat is accompanied by the Dutch lion. In the axis of the brand lap, among other things, the weapon of Amsterdam and the tree of knowledge of good and evil are embroidered. The snake head refers to EVA, recognizable by her long hairs.Twede proeve (cf. BK-16520-B). The pattern is symmetrical, but not equal to both halves, so that the piece does not look stiff. The crowned Dutch virgin with the hate of freedom is accompanied by the Dutch Lion. In the axis of the Merklap, among other things, the Wapen van Amsterdam and the tree of knowledge of good and evil are embroidered. The snake head refers to Eva, recognizable by her long hair. Civil-Official Hyungbae (Rank Badge) late 19th century Korea The Joseon court adopted an insignia system in the mid-fifteenth century to display the ranks of officials. Worn on the front (hyung) and back (bae) of costumes, hyungbae, or rank badges, served as decorative status markers in a society that prized strict hierarchies. Initially permitted only for civil and military officials of the third rank and higher, their use was eventually broadened to all nine ranks.Various animals were used to designate rank, and the motifs evolved over the course of the Joseon dynasty. In 1871 the insignia were standardized to tigers for military officials and cranes for civil officials. The examples here are arranged clockwise by rank, from the highest, the double crane with bullocho (elixir plant) on the upper left, to the lowest, the single crane on the lower left.
