David Livingstone (1813-1873) was a Scottish missionary and explorer in Africa. He discovered Victoria Falls in 1855. When there was no news from him for some time, British explorer Henry Morton Stanley (1841-1904) was sent to find him. He did so on November 10, 1871, at the small village of Ujiji in Tanzania, near Lake Tanganyika.
