Jesse and Frank James, Cole, John, and Bob Younger, robbed the Hot Springs Stage on January 15, 1974. They robbed the passengers and the mail bags, collecting $2,000. One of the gang, asked if any of the passengers had fought for the Confederacy. G. R. Crump answered yes, which caused the robbers to return his valuables.
