Illustration of the 1889, Fête des Vignerons (Winegrowers Festival); is a traditional celebration held five times a century in Vevey, Switzerland. It has been organized by the Brotherhood of Winegrowers of Vevey since 1797. The committee is free to choose the time intervals between parties, the maximum being five times per century. Until now, the interval between two parties has varied between 14 and 28 years. The next edition will take place in 2019, 20 years after the previous one (1999); . The French Foreign Legion (French: Legion etrangere) is a unique military unit in the French Army established in 1831. The legion was specifically created for foreign nationals wishing to serve in the French Armed Forces, but commanded by French officers. However, it is also open to French citizens, who amounted to 24% of the recruits as of 2007. The Legion is today known as an elite military unit whose training focuses not only on traditional military skills but also on its strong esprit de corps.
