Participating in a panel discussion before the movie begins are, from left, Kennedy Director Robert Cabana, NASA astronaut Mike Massimino and TCM host Ben Mankiewicz."Forbidden Planet," starring Walter Pigeon, Anne Francis and Leslie Nielsen, was nominated for an Academy Award in 1956 for best special effects in part for its robot character, Robby.
