Autumn on An English Farm- Agriculture in Britain, 1941 Potatoes gathered from the field are piled around the edge of the field where they are stored for the winter at Hills Farm, Kingston Blount, Oxfordshire. The piles of potatoes are covered in straw and then earth is piled on top of them.
