Date: ca. 1740-50.This picture is from a series of four female allegorical figures. Two others are in the Rijksmuseum, Amsterdam. They probably served as overdoors, perhaps set into a stucco surround. Tiepolo is known to have painted a number of pictures of this type to complement his work in fresco.
