A photograph taken within Tomb KV1, located in the Valley of the Kings in Egypt, used for the burial of Pharaoh Ramesses VII of the Twentieth Dynasty. Although it has been open since antiquity, it was only adequately investigated and cleared by Edwin Brock in 1984 and 1985. The single corridor tomb itself is located in Luxor's West Bank and is small in comparison to other tombs of the twentieth dynasty. Usermaatre Setepenre Meryamun Ramesses VII (also written Ramesses and Ramesses) was the sixth pharaoh of the twentieth dynasty of Ancient Egypt. He reigned from about 1136 to 1129 BC and was the son of Ramesses VI. The decoration within the passageway of the tomb contains illustrations from the Book of Gates, the Book of Caverns as well as the Book of the Earth. The walls of the burial chamber are decorated with extracts from the Book of the Earth.

Wall painting inside the Theban Tomb of Roy (TT255), in Dra' Abu el-Naga'. It forms part of the Theban Necropolis, situated on the west bank of the Nile opposite Luxor. The sepulchre is the burial place of the Ancient Egyptian official, Roy, who lived at the end of the 18th dynasty, during the reign of Horemheb. Roy was a Royal Scribe in the Estates of Horemheb and of Amun. His wife, who appears with him in the tomb paintings, is named as Nebtawy, or 'Tawy'

It was discovered by Ernesto Schiaparelli in 1904. It is called the Sistine Chapel of Ancient Egypt. In the Valley of the Queens, Nefertari's tomb once held the mummified body and representative symbolisms of her, like what most Egyptian tombs consisted of. In September 2018, Egypt's Ministry of Antiquities, announced the discovery of an 18th dynasty tomb, in Draa Abul-Naga, a burial site for noblemen on the left bank of the Nile, near the Valley of the Kings. the tomb contains mummies believed to be a goldsmith called Amenemhat, who lived sometime between 1550 B.C. to 1292 B.C. The burial chamber has a niche at one end, which holds a statue of Amenemhat who sits on a chair next to his wife, Amenhotep. The Eighteenth Dynasty dates back to the 13th century BC, a period noted for some of the most well known Pharaohs, including Tutankhamen and Ramses II. The chamber has two burial shafts. In one, archaeologists found sarcophagi and remains dating from the later 21st and 22nd Dynasties. Those included the remains of a woman and her two grown children. She showed signs of bacterial bone disease and cavities. The other shaft contains funerary masks and statues depicting the goldsmith's family. The tomb hoses deteriorated mummies with their skul

This illustration shows a fragment of enameled brick found at Nimrud. It is likely that most major Assyrian buildings had paintwork at least in the reception rooms. Ashurnasirpal (ruled 883-859 B.C.) recorded that he had represented his triumphs in paintings. There were murals on the walls above the carved stone panels and the ceilings were also painted.

Shabti Box, New Kingdom Period (c. 1539-1075 BC).. A shabti box was a funerary object personal to the deceased, containing divine statues. A figure of Anubis is represented on the central of three lids.. The painted decoration depicts the deceased before various gods. The box is inscribed for the scribe of the god's offerings of Amun, Ptah-hetep.

Tomb of Ahmose, a soldier, who served under three different pharaohs in various successful campaigns during the late 17th and early 18th Dynasties. His tomb is the best known in Elkab, in Upper Egypt; situated 90 km. to the south of Thebes. circa 1580-1540 BC. Ahmose in his biographical texts is described as 'Captain of Sailors' and was prominent in the wars of liberation against the Hyksos rulers when the southern princes laid siege to the town of Avaris in the Delta.
