Image 111-SC-36372 shows a radio telephone set for official use only in an airplane during World War One. The set, identified as SCR 93 ITEM 15, was designed for short-range communication. Based on the principles of the British Arts and Crafts movement, Art Nouveau artists sought to reform the decorative arts by emphasizing uniqueness and a return to craftsmanship.
