The unusual shape is reminsicent of other southern German or Austrian instruments of so-called "harp" form, where the case and instrument resemble a small harp laid on its side. Internally, the mechanism of the action and the dampers are carefully and elegantly built. The discrepancy between the crude case and the elegant mechanism may suggest that the instrument is the product of two different individuals, a skilled piano craftsmen and a provincial carpenter. Technical description: Pentagonal case of heavy, vertically-veneered wood (possibly walnut), undecorated, on four square tapered legs; much restored; the keyboard, action, tuning pins appearing of late eighteenth century origin but the case unusual for that period; back of case not veneered; compass GG-f3 (59 keys); ebony natural heads with dark-stained tails and black embossed paper front, accidentals with bone slips over dark-stained wood with traLink wheels.Lantern. One pipe has a crane and serves as a supply for boiler water; The vessel is filled and the excess water runs the barrel via a landing to the second pipe. This makes it possible to measure a constant current boiler water to determine an average. After measuring, the water that remains in the vessel can be removed to the drain pipe by means of a second crane. In the vessel itself, a brass cylinder for the hydrometer (missing) and a thermometer are applied. Against the outside, a light and a round reflection mirror is applied to a hinged arm to be able to read the salinometer in the dark boiler room. There is a fixing plate against the rear.
