Demetrios Church after Iwan's death of the terrible came to Uglitsch his wife Maria and his son Dmitri. There, Dmitri died in 1591 under unexplained circumstances. It is believed that regent Boris Godunow let him murder to become tsar. The city of Uglitsch built the Demetrios Church on the site where Dmitri died.
