Beside him stands upon the upper step a putto supporting a shield and raising the sword. Another sits upon teh same step, at he other side. A third kneels at right upon the lower step, supporting a festoon and possibly the shield. The corners of the steps are bevelled. A canopy hanging from above, forms the background of the group.
