The inner legs are open, the lower part with a 'cash motif', in which a shield has been saved in the center with the initials 'CGVR' against a background of fireplace vertical lines, for Catharina Cornelia Geertruida van Reede (van Oudtshoorn), the First wife of A.E. Van Braam Houckgeest (1739-1801). Above that, against the same background of thin lines, three painted medalions that seem to have been hung on ribbons, flower vines, and swinging band work. On the middle, shield -shaped medallion a man and a woman at the waterfront; On the other two, oval medallions always a putto, once at the rising or setting sun on the waterfront and once in a boat on the turbulent sea under a sky with lightning bolts. Model: 20 decorated legs, which are connected to each other by means of a light pink ribbon. Decoration: The stand part of the legs is decorated with an ajour cut pattern of scenes with figures interspersed with servetwork. The decoration of the hand part is formed by a rosette and leaf and floral motifs, both interspersed with service. On the outdoor legs, three scenes with figures are shown one above the other in relief, including palmets and rosettes. On the closing pin a green silk cord has been tied with a Gordian knot from which a green and a purple brush hang, both with gold thread. Brisé range of ivory, relieved with flowers and tendrils, and equipped with three oval medallions on which in the middle 'Sacred to Love'. 30 consecutive legs cut and worked out single-sided in relief with flowers and tendrils. Unlike other examples from this period, this impeller has no monogram in the central medialon but a spell. It is allowed to conclude from this (det language) that the impeller was intended for the English market and most likely to be shipped by the English Trade Company to Europe. A flower and leaf motif is applied over the entire impeller, which is alternated in the edge along the openings for the ribbon by napkin. Made up in the appropriate materials and dimensions of the late 1880s, women continued to follow the dictates of fashion even during mourning..
