American photo-realist artist Chuck Close (born July 5, 1940), at work on "Cindy II", a portrait of fellow artist Cindy Sherman, in his New York City studio in 1988. In December 1988, Close suffered a catastrophic spinal artery collapse, leaving him paralyzed from the neck down. He has continued his artistic practice since the event.

RESTAURACION " HABITACION E " CASA DE LOS GRIFOS- Complutum ( Alcalá de Henares).La "Casa de los Grifos" es una domus del siglo I dc y que estuvo en uso hasta el siglo IV. Perteneciente al conjunto arqueológico de la ciudad Hispano - romana de Complutum, siendo una de las mejores Domus de la ciudad, que pertenecia a una importante familia complutense dedicada a actividades comerciales y artesanales , con un amplio interior rodeado con un peristilo de doce columnas que articulaba una serie de estancias, en ellas se ha encontrado pintura mural en la que destacan unos " Grifos". En el 2008 se ha restaurado la denominada estancia E, cuyo uso seria recibir a los clientes ( Tablinium ) abierta al peristilo, las pinturas son de estilo pompeyano y representan una arquictetura figurada ( 7,60x 4,90 )metros.
