Aaron Demarte, public safety dispatcher with the Fort McCoy Directorate of Emergency Services (DES) 911 Communications/Security Center, processes a request Oct. 5, 2022, in the center at Fort McCoy, Wis. The center, also referred to as DES Dispatch Center at the installation, maintains its coverage and support 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Dispatchers use a variety of emergency communications and electronic equipment to complete their duties.
