Secretary of the Air Force Frank Kendall exits a U.S. Navy MH-60S Seahawk during his visit at Andersen Air Force Base, Guam, Aug. 19, 2022. During the flight Kendall received a briefing about the plans to construct a Singapore Air Force permanent fighter training detachment. The Singapore fighter presence on Guam will provide training and cooperation opportunities that will improve interoperability and strengthen U.S.-Singapore defense ties. The training presence, which will begin around 2029, will consist of a squadron of aircraft and associated personnel, and include the construction of hangars, aprons and support facilities.

Twenty-six nations, 38 ships, four submarines, more than 170 aircraft and 25,000 personnel are participating in RIMPAC from June 29 to Aug. 4 in and around the Hawaiian Islands and Southern California. HS-4 is delivering humanitarian supplies to areas affected by a 9.0 magnitude earthquake and subsequent tsunami. Ships and aircraft from the Ronald Reagan Carrier Strike Group are conducting search and rescue operations and re-supply missions as directed in support of Operation Tomodachi throughout northern Japan.

Service members and civilians attended an Air Static Display on May 8, 2022 at Stenkovec, North Macedonia during Exercise Swift Response which featured a CH-47 Chinook Helicopter, UH-60 Blackhawks and more. Exercise Swift Response 2022 is an annual multinational training exercise, which takes place in Eastern Europe, the Arctic High North, Baltics and Balkans from May 2-22, 2022.

The start of Operation Total Force Impact took place in Sao Paulo, in the Anhangabau Valley, reinforcing the commitment to public safety and preserving order! In Sao Paulo, the operation focuses on combating vehicle theft and robbery, drug trafficking and environmental crimes, in addition to intensifying traffic control. The official launch took place today at 3 pm in the Anhangabau Valley, with 424 police officers and 203 vehicles.

Idaho National Guard 116th Cavalry Brigade Combat Team's 2nd of the 116th Combined Arms Battalion teamed up with the Idaho Army National Guards 1st of the 183 Assault Helicopter Battalion to conduct medevac training at the Orchard Combat Training Center on March 30, 2022. The training simulated emergency evacuations of sick or wounded Soldiers from a battlefield. Ground medics preformed medical care on the ground before rushing them to the flight medics aboard the UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter who continued medical care while they were flown to the nearby medical facility. While training, Soldiers ate MRE's in the field. This training is a portion of combat training the 2nd of the 116th CAB conducted in preparation to deploy to Southwest Asia in support of Operation Spartan Shield later this year.
