Boston (May 26, 2022) U.S. Navy Yeoman Sade Dennis, bids farewell to the officers and crew after completing a successful, 2-year tour aboard USS Constitution. USS Constitution, is the worlds oldest commissioned warship afloat, and played a crucial role in the Barbary Wars and the War of 1812, actively defending sea lanes from 1797 to 1855. During normal operations, the active-duty Sailors stationed aboard USS Constitution provide free tours and offer public visitation to more than 600,000 people a year as they support the ships mission of promoting the Navys history and maritime heritage and raising awareness of the importance of a sustained naval presence. USS Constitution was undefeated in battle and destroyed or captured 33 opponents.

SYDNEY, Australia (Nov. 10, 2022) - Rear Adm. Ron Piret, Commander, Naval Meteorology and Oceanography Command, visited HMAS Penguin for a tour of Australian Navy Hydrography capabilities and missions during his visit to Australia, Nov 10. Piret received several briefings and viewed static displays that showcased the Australian Hydrographic Offices capability and mission sets. In addition, Piret signed a memorandum of understanding between the two navies for further collaboration with Commodore Stewart Dunne, Director General Maritime Geospatial and Australian Geospatial-Intelligence Organization. A Chinese sailor goes ashore from the brow of the guided missle destroyer USS JOHN PAUL JONES (DDG 53) while participating in reciprocal ship tours during the People's Liberation Army (Navy) port visit of three Chinese warships to Naval Air Station North Island. The port visit by the Chinese is a goodwill gesture between the U.S. and Chinese navies. This marks the first time Chinese warships have crossed the Pacific and visited the Continental United States. The ceremony recognized those who were lost on 9/11 and afforded the service members time to reflect on their service and patriotism. UNITAS, which is Latin for unity, trains forces from across the globe in South America to conduct joint maritime operations through the execution of anti-surface, anti-submarine, anti-air, amphibious, and electronic warfare operations that enhance warfighting proficiency and increase interoperability among participating naval and marine forces. The exercise builds, sustains, and sharpens partnerships in the region while exchanging military proficiencies across the 19 participating nations.
